Literally equality is the state of being equal in rites, status and opportunities. Everyone deserves this without exception and if tradition denies this it is not a tradition worth keeping. Slavery was a tradition for decades upon decades and we all know in our hearts and minds that it was and is wrong. That is but one example. Tradition should not govern or wield any power over anything or anyone especially given it is a matter of opinion and nothing more. Matters of opinion can be oppressive and oppression is wrong and immoral, as is anything that advocates and/or supports it. If any religion falls under the category of such tradition, then so be it. If government falls under this category of such tradition, then so be it. If you have these opinions then your opinions are bigoted and that is fact. You can have an opinion and you can have the right to voice it much to everyone else’s disdain but you cannot - or should not - have the right to make it law. Neither religion nor government nor tradition is infallible. In fact they are the most easily corruptible institutes given their ability control and govern the masses and the amount of greed and selfishness in people’s motives. Equality is just a better way of life and does nothing to harm you or make you unhappy. There is no valid argument against it. At all. Ever. Cease and desist. (I’m angry again.)
